Coppell Women's Club --- Founded in 1973 to promote neighborliness and friendship among all women of Coppell and surrounding areas, and to preserve the charm and small town atmosphere through interesting social and cultural activities.
The Coppell Women’s Club (CWC) is an unincorporated nonprofit group of women who share an interest in the city of Coppell, Texas. It is a non-discriminatory and non-political organization. All female residents of Coppell and surrounding communities are welcome to join CWC.
Members of CWC represent a broad spectrum of today's women of all ages and is composed of homemakers and professionals. Our goal is to create a cocoon of hometown warmth to preserve the charm and small town atmosphere through interesting social and cultural activities. Knowing one’s neighbors and caring about each other makes a critical difference in a community’s quality of life. All female residents of Coppell and surrounding communities are welcome to join CWC.
General Club meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month in October, November, February, March and April. These meetings offer club news, as well as social time and interesting programs. In September, December, and May, we have a daytime luncheon in place of a General meeting. Members also receive printed membership directory, and a monthly newsletter with the latest club information.
We also have many opportunities for friendship through smaller Special Interest Groups (SIG). We have daytime and evening group activities in homes, local coffee bars, foodie haunts and even on the road. We have book lovers, needle workers, bridge players, Mah Jongg maniacs, and traveling divas. There are those who walk, jog, and play tennis or golf. There’s the lunch bunch, the movie groupies, museum and theatre connoisseurs and even folks who meet to study conversational Spanish - Hola! Husbands and other guests are invited to join the ladies for dine outs, wine tastings, happy hours, game nights and other fun events.
We have a serious side too. Among other things, our community services group welcomes home the troops, provides gifts to those less fortunate through Angel Tree, donates books to the needy and our troops over seas, participates in meal donations, projects to keep our community clean and is ready to jump into full work mode in any emergency.
Coppell Women's Club Mission:
The purpose of the Club is to promote friendship and a strong community among all women who have an interest in Coppell, and to provide social, charitable, cultural, and educational opportunities.
